Twintech International University College of Technology (Malaysia) successfully co-hosted the 1st IEEE International Conference on Sustainable Solutions in Engineering Technologies and Earth Science, India (ICSSETES-2026) alongside the Tamil Nadu Professors Association (TNPA) Awards Ceremony 2026 at its Petaling Jaya campus on 24th August 2026. Organised in partnership with ITS Engineering College (India) and the Tamil Nadu Professors Association, the hybrid event served as a major cross-border platform for sustainable technology innovation and academic recognition.
Event Structure & Key Highlights
- Inaugural & Welcome Addresses: The conference commenced on August 24, 2026, with an opening address by Prof. Dr. Selvaraj Oyyan Pillay, Vice-Chancellor of Twintech International University College of Technology, welcoming over 35 delegates from premier Indian institutions including IIT Kanpur along with global scholars.
- Other key speeches were also delivered by Dr. A. Ambikapathy (Organising Chair, ITSEC), Dr. Setu Garg (Convener), Dr. S. N. Singh (Chief Guest, IEEE-UP Section), and Dr. J. Ramkumar (Guest of Honor, IEEE-UP Section).
- Keynote Presentations: Twintech leadership highlighted institutional advancements, featuring addresses by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Anas Tajudin (DVC Academics & Research) and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nor Saidi Mohamed Nasir (DVC Student Affairs & Alumni), as well as a keynote by Dr. Prabhakar Tiwari (IEEE-UP Section).

Strengthening Bilateral Cooperation
Building upon an institutional Memorandum of Understanding signed in 2024, the success of ICSSETES-2026 and the TNPA Awards reinforces the growing academic partnership between Malaysia and India. By facilitating joint research networks, student exchanges, and cross-border innovation, Twintech continues to solidify its role as an international hub for sustainable engineering and global talent development.
Also taking this opportunity TWINTECH represented by the Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Selvaraj Oyyan Pillay also signed three MOUs with three institutions to extend its collaboration in research & academic activities and student immersion programmes.
