On October 16, 2023, Twintech International University College of Technology achieved significant progress in its internationalization development strategy. A delegation led by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Selvaraj Oyyan Pillay, including Associate Professor Abus Qamar, Director of the International Office, and their China affairs representative team, visited Shandong Jianzhu University for exchange and signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This collaboration marks a further expansion of Twintech’s partnership network in China’s higher education sector, injecting new vitality into the educational exchanges between Malaysia and China.

Deepening International Cooperation, Expanding New Educational Frontiers
During the visit, the Twintech delegation held productive talks with Prof. Zhang Zhigang, Vice President of Shandong Jianzhu University, and relevant department heads. Vice Chancellor Selvaraj provided a detailed introduction to Twintech’s development history and educational characteristics during the meeting. He stated, “As one of the first private higher education institutions in Malaysia to attain university college status, Twintech has always been committed to establishing a high-quality international cooperation network. We highly value the establishment of a partnership with an outstanding institution like Shandong Jianzhu University, which has profound experience in the field of architecture.”

Signing the MoU, Establishing the Cooperation Framework
Witnessed by representatives from both sides, the two institutions formally signed the MoU. This important document lays a solid foundation for substantive future cooperation between the two universities. According to the MoU, the two universities will engage in in-depth collaboration in areas such as student exchange programs, faculty and student visits, and short-term training. They will also prioritize synergistic development in the field of continuing education, actively explore curriculum articulation and credit recognition mechanisms, and provide more diverse educational choices and development pathways for students from both countries.

Vice Chancellor Selvaraj emphasized during the talks that Malaysia, with its supportive educational policies, multicultural and inclusive environment, and reasonable study costs, is increasingly becoming an important destination for international students. He stated that Twintech will fully leverage its advantages to jointly promote the sharing and integration of educational resources with Shandong Jianzhu University, creating favorable conditions for cultivating professionals with global perspectives.
This signing represents a significant milestone in Twintech’s efforts to expand its educational cooperation network in the Asia-Pacific region.
