Twintech International University College of Technology and Shandong Vocational College Sign Memorandum of Understanding

On October 16, 2023, Twintech International University College of Technology took a solid step forward in the field of international cooperation. A delegation led by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Selvaraj Oyyan Pillay successfully visited Shandong Vocational College in China and formally signed a cooperation Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This visit and the signing ceremony mark the official establishment of a strategic partnership between the two institutions, laying a solid foundation for future in-depth collaboration in various areas such as student and faculty exchanges and the joint development of training bases.

Deepening International Partnerships
At the beginning of the visit, the Twintech delegation was warmly welcomed by Mr. Guo Peng, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Shandong Vocational College, and the college’s international exchange team. Vice Chancellor Selvaraj expressed gratitude for the warm reception and provided a detailed introduction to Twintech’s educational scale, disciplinary strengths, and international development strategy. He stated that Twintech places great importance on establishing cooperative relationships with outstanding institutions in the Asia-Pacific region, and that Shandong Vocational College’s profound (accumulated experience) and distinctive features in the field of vocational education highly align with Twintech’s educational philosophy that emphasizes application and practice. This visit aimed to translate the consensus between the two parties into concrete actions and jointly explore mutually beneficial cooperation models.


Signing the Memorandum of Understanding
Amidst the joint witness of representatives from both sides, the two institutions held a grand signing ceremony for the Memorandum of Understanding. This key document not only symbolizes a solemn commitment but also charts a clear roadmap for substantive future cooperation between the two universities. The signing of the MoU represents a significant achievement for Twintech in actively expanding its international network and enhancing its global influence, while also heralding a new phase of collaborative progress in the relationship between the two institutions.

On-Site Inspection Fosters Consensus
To gain a deeper understanding of Shandong Vocational College’s educational capabilities, the Twintech delegation, accompanied by Deputy Secretary Guo Peng, conducted an on-site inspection of several of the college’s top-tier teaching and training facilities. From the technologically advanced Urban Rail Transit Training Base and the EMU Mechanic Training Lab, to the efficient High-Speed Railway Comprehensive Maintenance Training Base; from the cutting-edge Intelligent Manufacturing Virtual-Real Integration Public Training Base, to the productive training base in the School of Bioengineering, and the culturally rich Tianyou College – each location left a deep impression on the delegation. Vice Chancellor Selvaraj spoke highly of Shandong Vocational College’s first-class hardware facilities, advanced teaching concepts, and industry-integrated practical teaching model. He believes these superior conditions will provide an unparalleled platform for future student and faculty exchanges, collaborative research, and joint training between the two institutions.
This visit and the successful signing have built a solid bridge for long-term cooperation between Twintech International University College of Technology and Shandong Vocational College. Both parties have unanimously agreed to use the MoU as a starting point to immediately establish a joint working group to accelerate the implementation of specific collaborative projects, including student and faculty exchanges, credit recognition, curriculum development, and the sharing of training bases. Twintech firmly believes that through this powerful partnership with Shandong Vocational College, it can not only provide broader international perspectives and development opportunities for students and faculty of both institutions but also jointly create a successful model of synergistic development in the fields of higher education and vocational education between Malaysia and China, injecting new vitality into people-to-people and educational cooperation under the Belt and Road framework.
