On October 15, 2023, a delegation from Twintech International University College of Technology, led by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr.Selvaraj Oyyan Pillay, visited Shandong Urban Construction Vocational College, marking the beginning of a new chapter in educational collaboration between the two institutions. The delegation included Associate Professor Abus Qamar, Comprehensive Office Director Zhang Jiangyun, and representative of Shandong JianDa Education Group, Mr. Niu Kemin. The visit was warmly welcomed by Ms. Yu Aimei, Member of the College Party Committee and Vice President, along with relevant officials from the International Education Department, who attended the symposium.

At the symposium, Prof. Dr.Selvaraj Oyyan Pillay, Vice Chancellor of Twintech International University College of Technology, expressed gratitude for the warm reception and provided a detailed introduction to his institution and the general landscape of higher education in Malaysia. He emphasized that, as one of the first private universities in Malaysia, Twintech strictly adheres to the quality certification systems of the Malaysian Ministry of Education and the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA), placing great importance on teaching quality and student development. He further highlighted the significant complementary strengths between the two institutions in terms of educational characteristics and specialized fields and expressed a sincere desire to establish friendly cooperation through this visit, laying a solid foundation of trust for future collaboration.

During the exchange session, the two sides engaged in constructive discussions on specific areas of cooperation. The Twintech delegation proposed broad opportunities for collaboration in diploma-to-degree programs, student academic advancement, and faculty training. Meanwhile, the delegation expressed strong interest in the achievements of Shandong Urban Construction Vocational College in “Chinese + Vocational Skills” programs and overseas campus initiatives, hoping to leverage these successful experiences to jointly promote the “Vocational Education Going Global” initiative in Southeast Asia. Both sides also agreed that disciplines such as Information Technology and Art Design, where they share common strengths, provide mature conditions for prioritizing curriculum collaboration and joint training programs.
This visit achieved significant results, marking an important milestone in the development of the relationship between the two institutions. Both sides expressed their commitment to using this high-level meeting as a starting point to actively follow up and accelerate the implementation of collaboration details.
